Acton banning this person for doing suuuch an absolutely tremendous service for them (and for free no doubt) is simply stunning. It would be advantageous to everyone, even these existing eSk8 "companies". All it's going to take is any existing company with deep pockets (not relying on another crowdfund campaign that will so obviously never deliver when promised), and actual marketing and mass production knowledge (not delayed a month by say, a cardboard box) to come in and put the hammer down. How do these companies manage to stay afloat with such public displays of gross mismanagement, incompetence, and even blatant deceit at times? This entire industry is really up for the taking. I've never seen anything like the eSk8 industry. How the.? What the.? This is effing insane. I'm not going to fight this ban and I certainly don't want to create a huge situation, but I just want people to know what's going on. I'm documenting everything openly so everybody can see what's going on and make their own judgement about Acton the company and their products. There was no warning given before the ban. The last communication I'd received from Acton was an email asking for my phone number, and I'd given it assuming they wanted to reach out to me in person to get further feedback to improve their board. This morning (09/24/17) somebody in the official Acton community FB group messaged me informing me that I'd been banned from the group. In the review and in Facebook comments, I extended an open invitation to Acton to let me test the board at length again to see if they've fixed the problems I described in my review. I posted the link to the review to a couple places (Acton official community FB group, Acton Global Electric Skateboard Owners FB group, Bay Area Esk8 FB group) because I thought people would be interested to read about what they were buying or considering to buy.
That night, I stayed awake until 5AM trying my best to write an honest, unbiased review of the board as it currently stands. I was (and still am!) extremely excited about this board, so I immediately rearranged my schedule and on 09/21/17 went to test ride the board at their offices in Santa Clara, CA. On 09/20/17 I was invited by Acton to go test ride the Qu4tro.
